Tackling smudging with alcohol based solvents


An American multinational company was looking to expand their presence in the ethyl-alcohol based sanitiser and disinfecting wipes market. Their existing production lines were already running flat out, and so a new factory was set up to cope with the demand, with a production goal of 1 million bottles/month.

A Transam regional reseller was approached to provide a solution for this new factory. Transam was able to provide the dealer with behind the scenes support in the form of requirements gathering and provision of samples. Customisation requests in the form of special branded leaders with the dealer logo were also easily fulfilled.

Within a week from the customer’s first enquiry, the entire procurement process was complete, thanks to a close working relationship between Transam and the reseller.

Subsequently, in the on-site testing conducted by the customer, a resin ribbon providing a perfect match for their production requirements was found. These included:

– resistance to smudging from alcohol and oil
– resistance to smudging from rubbing
– stability under UV exposure
